<image:title>About Us - Ms Margaret Xiong BSc (Psychology), PGradDip (Psychology), MPsych (Clinical)</image:title>
<image:caption>Margaret is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with more than 7 years of experience across community mental health, public outpatient, and university counselling services. She is passionate about working with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, sleep issues, adjustment difficulties, study or work-related challenges, relationship issues, emotional and complex trauma, and personal growth. Margaret has a warm, compassionate, caring, and collaborative approach. She is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences, emotions, and challenges. She supports clients to build deeper self-understanding and move toward living a meaningful and fulfilling life. With an Asian cultural background herself, Margaret brings a nuanced understanding of cultural identity, intergenerational dynamics, migration-related stress, and the experiences of clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. She values culturally sensitive practice and works respectfully and flexibly with clients from all backgrounds. Margaret recognises that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so she tailors her approach to each individual. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and utilises these approaches and others towards the goals identified by her clients. Margaret is a Psychology Board of Australia–approved supervisor with endorsement in Clinical Psychology and is available to provide supervision and peer consultation.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Us - Dr Daniel Leung BPsych (Hons), DPsych (Clinical)</image:title>
<image:caption>Daniel is a warm and empathic Clinical Psychologist who has worked in private hospital, university, and community mental health settings. He has experience providing short- and long-term therapy for individuals as well as facilitated numerous group-based therapy programs in both inpatient and outpatient settings designed to reduce the impact of anxiety and depression. Daniel understands the importance of creating a safe, open space with his clients in order to genuinely explore their emotions and difficulties that bring them to therapy. He primarily works with mid-to-late adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health and life issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress management, low self-esteem and substance abuse/dependence. Daniel holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and utilises a range of evidence-based therapies and techniques to help his clients achieve their goals. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness approaches, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) among others. He understands that each person is unique, and thus aims to personalise his approach to ensure a positive therapeutic relationship that allows his clients to best explore their life difficulties and related emotions in a safe and thoughtful way. Daniel strongly believes that each individual has the capacity to build and live a rich and meaningful life. He has a special interest in working with individuals affected by traumatic events and works collaboratively with his clients to explore how such events can create life patterns that might interfere with their current relationships or behaviours. Daniel’s clients consider him to be a thoughtful, caring, and friendly psychologist who places his client’s needs at the centre of his practice. Daniel is a Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisor with endorsement in Clinical Psychology and is available to provide supervision and peer-consultation.</image:caption>
